Abstract: this work aims to problematize the relationship between science and coloniality by following two traditions of contemporary critical thought. having this goal in mind, some of the central debates in feminist studies of science and postcolonial latin-american theory are discussed, particularly the proposals that have been developed in the modernity / coloniality program in latin-america. besides presenting a dialogue between these two frameworks of thought, some of the implications are discussed, opening directions for thinking further about contemporary forms of production of knowledge.

Abstract: La intención de este trabajo es problematizar las relaciones entre ciencia y colonialidad, a partir de dos campos del pensamiento crítico contemporáneo. Con este propósito se recogen algunas de las principales discusiones que en este sentido, se han realizado desde los Estudios Feministas de la Ciencia y desde la teoría poscolonial latinoamericana, en particular desde las propuestas que se han desarrollado al interior del Programa Modernidad / Colonialidad en America Latina. Además de plantear una conversación entre estos dos marcos de pensamiento, se discuten algunas de las implicaciones que este dialogo abre a la hora de pensar las formas contemporáneas de producción de conocimiento.
De Federalismo a Regeneración. El Paso de Estados Soberanos a Departamentos Político – Administrativos

Abstract: El artículo pretende mostrar cómo fue la transición de Estado Soberano de Boyacá a Departamento Político Administrativo durante la Regeneración entre 1886 y 1903. El proceso estuvo acompa ado por una serie de reformas de carácter económico, político y social, que consolidaron un nuevo proyecto de unidad nacional a partir de la Constitución de 1886. La Regeneración se presenta como un proyecto político que transformó las relaciones entre el Estado y la sociedad, el cual afectó también la autonomía regional como consecuencia de una dependencia con el gobierno central. Es una fase donde se evidencia el paso de un sistema federalista a otro centralista, con miras a construir un modelo de ciudadano que respondiera al ideal de construcción de una nación unitaria. La autora se apoya en fuentes periodísticas como el Diario Oficial, El Boyacense, El Espectador, entre otros, y con una amplia bibliografía sobre el Federalismo y la Regeneración.

Abstract: According to some definitions, the introduction of a paper, apart from exposing its objectives, should be the stimulant that generates interest in a deeper reading and a wider appraisal. With this definition in mind, I submit for this issue of Athena the text that introduces my discussion on the Scientific/Colonial Logics of Knowledge: Writing, images and borderline issues. The keys and the roadmap which represent the basis of this paper are contained within, as also a simple overview of some of its strongest theses. Hopefully, this introduction will worthily fulfill its task. Según algunas definiciones, la introducción de un trabajo además de plantear los objetivos del mismo, debe ser la incitadora de un interés que conduzca a una lectura más amplia. Con esta definición en mente, presento para esta entrega de la tesiteca de Athena, un texto que introduce mi discusión sobre las Lógicas científico/coloniales del conocimiento: Escritura, imágenes y territorios de frontera. En él se encuentran las claves y el mapa de escritura con el que este trabajo fue construido, así como un sencillo recorrido por algunas de sus tesis más fuertes. Ojala esta introducción cumpla cabalmente su tarea.

Abstract: this paper makes a discourse analysis of the civic ordinance of barcelona, adopted by the city hall of barcelona- spain in january of 2006, in order to typify and manage behaviour in the public spaces of the city. the textual corpus we used for this analysis is the ordinance project in its two versions. the discourse analysis methodology used in this study has been proposed by different authors in this field (martín rojo, 2001; parker, 1992; potter & wetherell, 1987; van dijk, 2003; wetherell, 2001). results point to the emergence of two kinds of discourses inside the text, as well as the strategies from which both discourses allow the construction of citizens’ identities as a new way of governability in the spaces of contemporary european cities.

Abstract: The work presented here was aimed to describe the discourses circulating in a flower plantation inBogotá, Colombia, and the work practices associated to them. A qualitative approach with an ethnographicmethodology was used. Discourse analysis with the methodology developed by Potter & Wetherell(1996) was applied aimed to identify the interpretive repertoires. The analytical exercise about the repertoireswas cantered in exposing subject's positioning and the social function of these repertoires. In thisway, 4 big grouping categories were found for 11 repertoires. Results are finally studied in light of acritical discussion including a review about the problem of the economic globalization and its impact oncontemporary work practices and discourses.

Abstract: the aim of this study is to know the conflicts between beneficence and autonomy principles present in physician-patient relationship during therapy of suicidal attempt. research was carried out in two psychiatry hospitals of the city of mexico. the sample included three subjects with suicidal attempt, older than 18 years, attended as outpatients for an injure self inflicted last year, and three psychiatrists treating these patients. information was obtained by individual interviews with previous informed consent. an argumentative discourse analysis was carried out to find meaning given by participants to bioethics principles and possible conflicts between them. conflicts between beneficence and autonomy were related to the benefit of treatment, respect to patients values and beliefs, among others. this study present relevant ethical considerations in the clinical scenery, by offering to the psychiatrist a bioethical analysis which allows him/her to act according with beneficence while respecting the autonomy of the patient in cases of suicidal attempt and, in this way, to give them better attention.
